How to Create and edit a homescreen layout for deployed ipads.
Process and Procedures:
PART 1: HOMESCREEN LAYOUT
1. From the dashboard click on devices
2. Then click iOS/iPadOS
3. Click on "Configuration profiles"
4.Click "Create profile"
5. In the blade that pops up, click the profile type drop-down and select templates.
6. Choose the "Device features" template and hit "Create" at the bottom
7. Give your Profile a name. [Site] [Department] iPad Homescreen Layout. Then click "Next"
8. Expand the "Home Screen Layout" option
9. Find which apps your site department needs. Refer to the Site department app sheet here.
10. Select the far left place-mat (box) in the dock at the bottom.
11. Search for your app, highlight it then click select
11. Once the department apps have been applied to the dock, click on the top left place-mat in the homscreen grid.
12. Click "Folder" at the top, then name the folder "Tools." You can add multiple apps to the tools folder.
Please add these 10 apps. Then click "Select" when done.
Camera, Photos, Measure, Translate, Voice Memos, Find My, Magnify, safari, sunbit practice, company portal
(NOTE: Once done it should look something like this
PART 2: WALLPAPER
13. Expand the wallpaper carrot.
14. Click " Lock Screen and Home Screen"
15. Select a file
16. Pick the site department wallpaper from the folder.
17. Click next and next again
18. Add your site department group
19. Click "Edit filter"
20. Find your site department filter and click "Select"
21. Click "Next"
22. Click "Create" at the bottom
23. Profit!
